What are dental implants?
A dental implant is a titanium device designed as a permanent solution to replace missing teeth.
Conventional bridges, dentures or even crowns may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. Dental implants looks and feels very natural. Placed below the gums surgically, implants will fuse to your jawbone and serve as a base for individual replacement teeth, bridges or a denture.

Your Dental Implant Consultation
Our doctors spend a significant amount of time designing a treatment plan for your dental implant surgery that is customized with your needs and smile goals in mind. For your first appointment with us, you should expect to spend an hour with our dental team as we complete a thorough oral exam, take appropriate x-rays and pictures, and facial measurements. We will then make an appointment with our surgeons for 3-D imaging and examination.
After your consultation, our doctors will work with our state-of-the-art virtual planning system to ensure that accurate placement and restorations are fashioned for your treatment.
How are dental implants placed?
Once our 3-D imaging and implant software have determined the correct area of implant placement, a special drill prepares a small hole in the bone where your implant is placed. Your bone then firmly attaches to the implant during a process called osseointegration
. Adequate local and general anesthesia is administered throughout the entire procedure.
